j wigs and the sag

My lovely friend Shelby got me a gorgeous sheer maxi with a built in slip while she was on vacation, it has the single most 70's print I've ever seen and it's beautiful and wonderful and how the hell did she know. It was more of a midi and awkward looking so it would clearly become a mini once I was done playing with the sheerness of it.

First I cut off the bottom half of the brown slip so that it looked like one of the half - sheer dresses you can buy at AA or Nasty Gal, but I wasn't in love because, well, the dress wasn't quite long enough. So I decided to have even more fun and cut off the front half of the sheer material. No one in my family approves of the peacock-esque feel to the dress, but I kind of dig it? I dunno, it definitely makes it more "dressy" but I'll probably end up cutting off the tail, but until then...

dress ; thrifted from some shop in idaho
shoes ; ebay, rocketdog
cross ; forever21

In addition to making great but slightly ridiculous dresses, my younger sister and I spent about an hour making hilarious but slightly offensive shirts. Tomorrow we're planning on begging our mom to let us buy them, wish us luck.
